Method 1: Board Game Arena, in your browser (free)
Board Game Arena lists Flip 7 as free, with no download needed and about 9 minutes per game. Its game data does not mark it as Premium. We checked the public listing without signing in, so check hosting while logged in before you arrange a table.

- Sign in. Use your account, or create a free account.
- Join or create a table. Join a table, or check the hosting options available to your signed-in account.

Tip: The publisher’s scoring web app keeps scores for the physical cards; it is not a way to play online.
Method 2: Brimwick on Tavernly
Brimwick on Tavernly is our own free browser game, with its own art, card names and sounds. You can learn at the table through a guided lesson before starting a real game. It has no expansions.
You need: A browser. Tavernly is for players aged 13 and over.
Before your first game, Tavernly asks for your birth date once. On the "When were you born?" screen, select Month and Year, then press Continue.
- Open the page. Visit Brimwick on Tavernly.
- Press Play now for bots. Choose Easy, Medium or Hard, then press Play now; Medium is preselected. A game against bots takes about 20 minutes.
- Choose Play with friends for a private game. Press Play with friends.
- Pick the number of seats. Choose how many seats the table has.
- Open your private table. Press Open a private table to enter the waiting room.
- Share the invite. Press Share invite and send the link to your friends. They open it in their browsers without an account.
- Start the table. Press Start now: bots take the empty seats when your friends have joined.
Try the guided lesson
The lesson has 12 steps and a coach box.
- Open Learn by playing. Press Learn by playing on the game page. Read the coach’s instruction at each step.
- Draw the marked card. When the coach asks you to draw, use Draw (Space). The coach also shows your chance of a spill.
- Pick the marked player. In the snuffer step, tap the player that the coach marks.
- Stop and play on. When the coach says so, press Stop (S). At the end, press Play a real game.
Learn the rules
This recap describes Brimwick on Tavernly. Use these names to match the instructions to the cards.
| Plain words | Brimwick on Tavernly names |
|---|---|
| Numbers in front of you | row |
| Your points at risk | jar |
| A repeat that loses the hand | spill |
| Bonus card that adds points | honey card |
| Bonus card that doubles your numbers | twin wick |
| Action card that stops a player | snuffer |
| Action card that makes a player draw three | bellows |
| Action card that saves you from a repeat | saucer |
| Seven different numbers | full brim |
The deck has 94 cards. Its 79 number cards include one 0 and values 1 to 12, each appearing as many times as its value. There is one 1, two 2s, and so on up to twelve 12s.
The six bonus cards are honey cards worth +2, +4, +6, +8 and +10, plus one twin wick. The nine action cards are three snuffers, three bellows and three saucers.
- Get a card. Each hand starts with one face-up card for each player. A number goes into your row; a honey card or twin wick goes beside it.
- Draw or stop. Draw one card from the stock, or stop to keep your hand’s points and leave the hand. You can stop on your first turn.
- Avoid a spill. Drawing a number already in your row spills your jar. You score 0 for that hand and leave it.
- Use a snuffer. Name any player who is still in, yourself included. That player is out of the hand now, with their points kept.
- Use bellows. Name any player who is still in, yourself included. That player takes three cards, one by one. A spill or a full brim cuts the three short.
- Use a saucer. When you would spill, the saucer and the repeated card both go to the discard pile, and you stay in the hand. One saucer is the most you can hold.
- Fill the jar. Seven different numbers in your row make a full brim. You get 15 points and the hand stops for all players. Honey cards and the twin wick are not part of the seven.
- Count the hand. Add your numbers, apply the twin wick, then add honey cards and any full brim points. Numbers 3, 7 and 12 with a twin wick and +4 honey card score (3 + 7 + 12) x 2 + 4 = 48.
- Reach 200. Hands follow one another. When a hand leaves a player on 200 points or more, the game is over. The highest total wins.
| Step | Points |
|---|---|
| Add your numbers | the sum |
| Twin wick | double the sum of your numbers |
| Honey cards | add each one |
| Full brim | add 15 |
| Spill | 0 for the hand |
A hand also ends when nobody remains in it. Between hands the stock is left as it is. Only when the stock is empty do the discarded cards get shuffled to make a new one.
Our version: Players tied for the highest total play one more hand. A player who is out before their first card comes gets no first card.
Tips and warnings
- Watch the public rows. Check which numbers each player already holds; the stock’s order is hidden.
- Read the spill percentage. The coach box shows your risk during the lesson.
- Use What happened. Read the What happened box to follow every move.
- Keep the timer in mind. Our version gives you 20 seconds per decision. If time runs out, the game stops for you and keeps your points.
Warning: Being the only player still in a hand does not protect your next draw from a spill.
